Meet the Founder

Born and raised in Tampa, FL, Lanita is the second oldest of four siblings. Primarily raised by her aunt and mother, she was always encouraged to explore her creative side in fashion with an emphasis on affordable, elegant clothing. Although opening up a clothing store has always been a passion of hers, God temporarily redirected her path. Lanita enlisted as an active service member in the United States Army, where she met her husband. They share two wonderful children together which they adore. Lanita is dedicated to teaching her children that no matter the detours or trials life may have, you do not have to give up on your dreams. God has reignited Lanita's passion to provide stylish and affordable clothing which manifested as Virtuous Closet, LLC.
